The Gila air conditioning system is a very basic 6kW single evaporator design with limited capacity. The evaporator is integrated into the RHS boxed enclosure, and is mounted next to the front seat inside the vehicle.

Mounting brackets are designed to suit the required interfaces and the evaporator is fitted with two parallel dual scroll blowers to allow for high pressure losses through constrained vehicle ducting.

If required, a condenser pack unit is mounted on the vehicle radiator as a module containing condenser heat exchanger core and optional electric fans. The displacement (engine driven) compressor is directly belt driven from the vehicle engine.

The controls are simple wired sensors and switchgear with no electronic controller.
